What a wine! Absolutely mind-blowing aromas! Ripe dark fruits (blackcurrant, blackberry, plum), cinnamon, vanilla, smoke, earth, leather... All of this comes together in a medium-bodied palate, perfectly lifted by a touch of acidity, finishing on a magical note. It may lack a touch of intensity, but my goodness, it's delicious! Half the bottle was decanted two hours beforehand. Hard to say which half was better – it was outstanding right from the first pour :)

A fabulous nose, centred around dark fruits (blackcurrant), raspberry, wood, tobacco, and smoke. The palate is impeccably structured, with well-integrated tannins, elegant and ethereal. Slightly disappointed, however, by the intensity and complexity of the flavours, which is truly expected from a 1er cru. The finish is very good. A very, very good wine, but perhaps not quite as exceptional as its status—and its price—would demand.
