Damaged bottle? In any case, very strange! On opening, a promising nose but a very closed palate. After decanting, it gradually opens up, revealing lovely aromas of plum, tobacco, leather, wood and mushroom. The palate, structured, tannic and balanced, also becomes more complex, though at a gentler pace. Turns into a very good wine, even if not quite at the level of a 1er Cru. But then, after 2 hours, it collapses and everything turns flat. The score is an average of these three stages...
