This red wine is crafted predominantly from a blend of the traditional Bordeaux grape varieties, likely featuring Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and a touch of Petit Verdot. The 2016 vintage in Bordeaux is noted for its combination of ripe fruit and structured tannins, thanks to an ideal growing season with warm, dry weather followed by a cooler harvest period. This provided grapes with excellent balance, concentration, and complexity. The terroir of Listrac-Médoc is characterised by its unique gravelly soils, which aid in the drainage necessary for nurturing quality fruit, along with clay and limestone that add richness and structure to the wine.

The Médoc region, situated in the southwest of France, enjoys a maritime climate moderated by the influence of the Atlantic Ocean.
