Schloss Johannisberg's Cuvée Rosalack Auslese 2017 is an exquisite expression of Riesling from one of Germany's most historic wine estates, nestled in the heart of the Rheingau region. This sweet white wine, classified as an Auslese, is crafted from hand-selected grapes affected by noble rot (Botrytis cinerea), resulting in luscious concentration and exceptional aromatic complexity. The 2017 vintage benefited from a favourable growing season, leading to both ripe fruit and vibrant acidity. The wine reveals an elegant bouquet of honeyed apricots, candied citrus peel, acacia blossom, and a subtle mineral undercurrent, further enhanced by a silken texture and a lingering, refined finish.

The Rheingau, flanking the Rhine River’s north bank, is one of Germany’s most revered wine regions, shaped by centuries of viticultural tradition. Its south-facing slopes and proximity to the river create a unique mesoclimate: warm days promote grape ripeness, while cool nights preserve freshness and aromatic delicacy. The soils, predominantly slate and loess, impart a characteristic minerality to the wines. The region is renowned for producing some of the world's most celebrated Rieslings, with Schloss Johannisberg standing as a true icon—widely considered the cradle of Riesling cultivation since the 18th century.
