The grape variety Riesling

Riesling is a highly esteemed white grape variety renowned for its aromatic complexity and remarkable ability to express terroir. Characteristically, Riesling wines offer a vibrant bouquet of citrus fruits, green apple, and white peach, often underpinned by floral notes and marked mineral undertones. As the wine matures, distinctive hints of petrol and honey commonly develop, adding depth and intrigue. Its natural acidity makes it exceptionally food-friendly; classic pairings include shellfish, smoked fish, pork dishes, spicy Asian cuisine, and soft cheeses, where the wine’s precision and aromatic lift perfectly complement diverse flavours.
