Bekari is an indigenous red grape variety predominantly cultivated in the mountainous regions of western Georgia, particularly in the Racha-Lechkhumi and Imereti areas. Known for its deep ruby hue, Bekari produces wines that boast an expressive aromatic profile featuring vibrant notes of wild cherries, ripe red plums, and subtle undertones of forest floor and spice. On the palate, Bekari wines are medium-bodied, exhibiting a fine balance between lively acidity and soft, rounded tannins.
