Traditional vinification methods, involving extended maceration and ageing in large oak casks, respect the variety's uniquely tannic structure and allow the nuanced site-specific character to shine through.

Piedmont is nestled at the foothills of the Alps in north-western Italy, benefiting from an interplay of Alpine and Mediterranean influences. The variance in day and night temperatures preserves freshness in the grapes, while the region’s mixed marl and calcareous soils enhance Nebbiolo’s perfume and structure. Barbaresco’s history is one of co-operative spirit, with Produttori del Barbaresco itself founded by local growers pooling their resources to showcase the best of their terroir, particularly in outstanding crus like Ovello.
