The colour is a deep, intense purple. The initial nose is highly fruity, with notes of black fruits (blackberry) and pepper, evolving upon swirling to hints of red fruit jams (strawberry and redcurrant). The palate opens broad and very rounded, with a dense mid-palate structure and very ripe, supple tannins. There is still a touch of tannin on the finish, suggesting excellent ageing potential in bottle.
