The grape variety Rondo

Rondo is a resilient, early-ripening red grape variety primarily grown in cooler regions such as the United Kingdom, Denmark, Germany, Poland, and the Baltic States. It is particularly valued for its ability to thrive in challenging climates and its natural resistance to common vine diseases.

Wines made from Rondo typically display a deep, ruby-red hue with an inviting aromatic profile. The nose reveals vibrant notes of red cherry, blackberry, and plum, often accented by subtle hints of spice, earthy undertones, and sometimes a touch of herbaceous character. On the palate, Rondo wines are medium-bodied with soft tannins, refreshing acidity, and an expressive fruit-forward style. Depending on vinification, they may also feature nuances of dark chocolate and savoury spices, making them pleasantly complex.
