The grape variety Divico

Divico is a relatively new Swiss grape variety, renowned for its remarkable resistance to common vine diseases and its outstanding suitability for sustainable viticulture. It typically produces deep-coloured red wines with an expressive aromatic profile. On the nose, Divico often reveals intense notes of blackberries, black cherries, and plums, complemented by spicy hints of pepper and subtle floral nuances of violet. The palate is fresh and well-structured, characterised by smooth yet firm tannins and vibrant acidity, resulting in a wine of impressive balance and longevity.

The principal growing regions for Divico are found in Switzerland, particularly in the French-speaking cantons such as Vaud, Valais, and Geneva. It thrives in cooler climates, where it maintains its signature freshness and aromatic precision.
