The grape variety Bordelesa Beltza

Bordelesa Beltza is a rare and intriguing red grape variety originating from the Basque Country, predominantly found in the Irouléguy appellation of south-western France and across the border in parts of northern Spain. This grape is closely related to the Bordeaux family, demonstrating a complex aromatic profile with notes of dark cherries, bramble fruits, liquorice, and subtle herbal undertones, accented by hints of spice and earthy nuances.
