Renowned for its deeply coloured wines, Otskhanuri Sapere presents an intriguingly complex aromatic profile, marked by vivid notes of black cherry, wild berries, dried herbs, forest floor and subtle undertones of violets and spice. On the palate, these wines are typically medium to full-bodied with pronounced acidity and firm yet polished tannins, delivering an elegant structure and remarkable ageing potential.

In terms of vinification, both traditional qvevri and modern techniques are employed, producing wines that range from fresh and vibrant to more robust, savoury expressions. Otskhanuri Sapere wines are often dry and still, but may also be encountered as intriguing semi-sweet or natural wines, reflecting Georgia’s rich winemaking traditions.
